hi guys, im wanting to create a really simple game using unreal ed. Basically what i want to do is allow the user to control a ball on a 2d axis (left right). I also want the colour of the ball to be changeable and each colour to have certain individual properties. Also I want there to be other meshes randomly generated (again with random colours and therefore properties). And finally I want there to be collision, but for example I want it to be colour coordinated, so red destroys red etc.
I really just want some advice on what the best way to approach this kind of thing is?
I initially thought I could do everything through matinee and kismet. This still doesn't seem as thoguht it would be impossible, however my knowledge of the software is not great.
Second thought was script, but i am primarily a designer and if i can do what i need in kismet/matinee it would probably be a more fluid feel for me.
I was thinking that I may need to make the ball a mover, but they seem too stale and the properties are not as dynamic to change.
I'm still learning so i thought maybe actions and collision might be a better way to go. However, I'm lost and making little/no progress!
please help me get back on track, thanks and merry christmas!
