Hello im Aaron but i go by the handle of Cid , or sometimes defrag. I have messed around with world builder in the past and a little with bryce 3d , 3dstudio max, autocad, etc. But i have never mastered any of it. Now with UT3 and my bordem i decided to take up level creation. I've gotten the basics down (making a room, tunnel to another, stairs, etc. ATM i suck at puting textures on and scalling them etc. but im working on that. let me know if you need any help and maybe i can, maybe i can't but i can sure try. eitherway ill be posting some of my work up here once ive done some work, i'd like honest opinions on my work so i can learn my faults and make better maps.
*hmm appears no one is using the reply button but rather making new topics to reply.......*

Hi I think a pick of mapper and I'm become a tester better than make maps. In UT2004 I test a lost of maps I'm happy while test maps, see the gameplay, the ubication of all objects, etc. For this I'm to became a tester of this really good future UT3 comunity of modders.
P.D.: Sorry for my bad "spanglish"

Hello! I am Dane, a good old fashioned CS student who should be doing work but chooses to game and such. My experience in modding is pretty limited to half-life, where i used to make maps and skins (there was also a short-lived attempt at modding starcraft. I prefer not to talk about that one.)
Being a hardcore UT fan, I figured I would try and get into modding. I am willing to learn anything that is needed, but the thing is I only be able to do things when I don't have loads of work (REAL work, not calculus assignments). I'm mainly working on learing UnrealScript, and am willing to work on pointless projects in order to get some real experience.
Cheers!

Hi biGGsy and everybody,
I'm a little older than most on gaming sites as I'm 47 and have never tried any type of modding as of yet. I have thought about it many times the past year but haven't done anything yet cause I don't have the software for it like 3D max or maya or modo. But as I looked through your tutorials I might give it a try by using them as guides. Very nice site too by the way.
Greetings,

Hi Everyone,
I'm really new to modding, but ever since they had that "Make Something Unreal" Contest I've been interested in learning how to do all this. Any advice is more than welcome, and I hope to start posting my first projects in a few months!

Hi
I'm sort of new to UT modding community as i never published my work. I made a number of skins for ut2003-04 but they are not that special to be published, sort of 'clan skins' for limited use
Anyway I can do some artwork in Photoshop, maybe it could be useful later. Now I'm trying to learn U-script to make mods

I'm not that new to modding. I started it with Quake2 and later on Quake3. When Star Wars Jedi Outcast ans Academy came out, I spent the most of the time modding it. Not that long ago I started modding ut2004 but never released anything. Now I'm willing to devote my modding attention to ut3.

Hey people, whats up? I'm a hardcore gamer as well as a 3D artist straight out of 3D school and looking for an internship right now. I've been playing loads of UT2004 and now with the new engine I am looking into making my own maps and skins. I mostly work with 3Ds max, Photoshop and Zbrush and the only game engine I touched so far is C4, so I am kinda new to UE3.
I guess this is the right time to give a big shoutout to all those modders out there who have made my gaming days ever so pleasant. Keep it up and keep modding!

Hey all,
Name is Jan, I go by either ElShotte or just ShoT, currently reside in NYC. I've had a decent amount of modding experience, I started back when all the Ghost Recon mods started out, made my first ever mod work, titled "Urban Ghost". As I progressed, I've worked on x amount of projects, including
Frag.Ops
,
StrikeForce 2004 C.E.
and
TrueCombat: Elite
. I can do level design, 3d design, texture art, web design, and a whole bunch of other stuff, in any case, I like to get my hands dirty even if it is a field I am not profficient in, and I will still solve the problem (it's gonna take me x amount of hours, but I am determined enough). Cheers and I hope you all enjoy your stay.

I am a mapper-modder and lovin it . While i'm not a pro I have attempted several video tutorials you can download for free . All my videos are in HD720P WMV Format so you can see them very clearly . The site you can download them on is boneslicer.bb-fr.com . If you just wish to view them on youtube in a lower quality format just look up BoneSlicer50 . Good Luck and Good Gamming . cya

Hey everyone, i'm brand new to modding, but i do have some programming experience from time at college. I've always been interested in making games and it looks like this would be a great way to start. I'm just screwing around with mutators for now but I look forward to getting into bigger and better things.
